Day 2

Today is day 2.

I woke up at 8:00 and weighed myself.
I weighed in at 259.8 lbs.

I am assuming that most of the 3.2 lbs I lost was water weight.

I did have a hard time sleeping last night, but it wasn't as bad as I had anticipated it being. I felt some cramping in my arms and legs, which means I will be drinking more water today. I am also starting the diet to go along WITH taking the phentermine. I am hoping for optimum results.

I am going to either follow the strict diet I typed out in the previous post, or I am going to count calories and make sure to eat at LEAST 1000 calories every day. If I dont do that, my body will go into starvation mode and hoard fat (which is EXACTLY what I don't want it to do!)

I will also be doing my slim-in-six workout to help tone muscle and I will be going for a brisk walk/jog with Trey this afternoon for some good cardio.

(Brisk 2 mile walk... once in the morning, once in the evening.)

Diet... starting on Day 2.

Breakfast:
2 oz. protein
1/2 cup carb
(Rapid Results: 2 oz. turkey breast and 1/2 grapefruit.)

Mid Morning Snack:
2 oz. protein
1/2 cup fruit
(Rapid Results: 3 oz. tuna steak and 1 cup greens.)

Lunch:
2 oz protein
1/2 cup carb
1 cup veggie
(Rapid Results: 2 oz. fish, 1/2 cup yam, 1 cup greens.)

Mid Afternoon Snack:
2 oz. protein
1/2 cup fruit
(Rapid Results: 3 oz. tuna and 1 cup greens.)

Dinner:
2 oz. protein
1/2 cup carb
1 cup veggie
(Rapid Results: 3 oz. fish and 1 cup veggie.)

PM snack: (optional)
2 oz. protein
1/2 cup fruit
(Rapid Results: 2 oz. chicken breast and 1 cup greens.)

Day 1

The doctor told me that Phentermine is pretty much RX speed. It will DRASTICALLY speed up my metabolism but lower my appetite. I will be burning off fat / calories constantly.

 I am going to be blogging about my experience every day, just to have a log of what works (or doesn't work) while I am taking it. There will be ONE post every day, but I will update it several times throughout the day.




Today is day one.

I weighed in this morning at 263lbs. My long-term goal weight is 175 lbs. I would LOVE to get down to 150lbs, but we will see how things go.

My short-term goal is to lose 30lbs by January 1st, 2011. 




I took my pill at 8:30, and I ate one egg and a few bites oatmeal for breakfast around the same time.

I am drinking a large amount of water.
An easy way to make sure you drink enough water, is to drink 8 oz. every time you pee, and every time you think about it during the day. The more water you drink, the better results you will have.

I did 30 minutes of cardio while the girls napped. Felt really good afterward.


At about 10:30 I started to have a hard time. I can definitely tell it's an amphetamine. I have a TON of energy and am experiencing a lot of the same effects I experienced when I used amphetamines when I was younger. I am VERY restless and experiencing racing thoughts, cold sweat, tingling, grinding my teeth, pulling my mouth to the right, etc.

1:00 came around and I was feeling much better. I forced myself to eat an apple and a few bites of eggs. Took some deep breaths and walked around outside.



Hopefully phentermine does not affect my ability to sleep at night, and hopefully I don't feel the typical "crash" that is associated with amphetamines / stimulants. The immediate release pill is supposed to last 12-24 hours.


I can tell that I am going to have to set an alarm and make sure to eat every 2 - 3 hours so my body doesn't go into starvation mode. I have not felt a TWINGE of hunger all day. In fact, nothing sounds appetizing at all. Something to consider.


I am going to make sure to eat AT LEAST 900 calories every day from here on out. Lots of veggies, fast carbs, and good proteins. I am going to stay away from dairy, sugar, salt, fats, oils, and any kind of alcohol. I will post tomorrow the diet plan I will be following.
